It's the most wonderful time of the year......

That's right folks, it's Halloween in June time again.. Tee hee

I DO!!

Halloween is one of my two favorite holidays and if it didn't drive my friends and family crazy I would celebrate these two holidays all year long. We'd be eating turkey and making ghoulish drinks all year long. Giving presents and dressing up in costumes is always fun not matter when you do it.

As a child I remember wanting to wear the costume that my mother bought for me for days before Halloween and I would even try to wear it for days afterwards.

On Christmas eve my brother and sister and I all slept in the same room so that my brother who was older could make sure that neither one of us snuck out to see the presents before it was morning.

Now I'm the mom with 4 kids and I'm still the one wanting to make noise early in the morning to try to wake the kids up on Christmas. I'm the one making homemade candy treats and bags to give out to our neighboring kids.

So today I want to share with you a Halloween creation that I made for the Halloween in June Challenge hosted by none other than our Favorited sock monkey and YouTube'r Papercrafter45.

WELP, since I'm really not that great at Blogging I guess I'll end here.  Or maybe I will have another project to share soon and want to share it with you all as well.

Thanks for stopping by!!

shellyanne00's giveaway on youtube

Hello crafty friends. I'm adding my video response to Shellyanne00's giveaway here on my blog. I had so much fun creating this 3D dress form.
This was so much fun to make. I started with 2 die cuts from Tim Holtz Sewing room Die. I cut one of them right down the middle and attached it on either side of the other die cut.
I cut 8 additional dress forms cutting off the bottom and tops, scored them down the middle and fit them into the attached form.
 Added lace, trim, flowers etc.
The base is a section of a toilet paper roll covered with just black cardstock, flatback pearl trim. I used the Tim Holtz film die and the banner die to make the note "Just for You" on the base.

Maybe I should try to do a tutorial?? Eh, who knows. For now, Here is my entry into Shellyanne00's craft giveaway!!!

Blog Hop???

Hello Ladies and Gents,
So today I signed up to be a part of a blog hop. What does that mean? I have no idea but since I have a blog I might as well start using it for the greater good.
Let's start with a little background on my crafting. I just recently started crafting late last year 2011. A friend had introduced me to these things called matchboxes. "Oh my!!, I can do that. They're so cute!" So I tried my hand at them and my kids and I started making them all the time. I was then told about Swap-Bot.com. This was a place that I could swap my little boxes of art. Once there I discovered dozens of different art creations. ATC's, Paper bag mini's, Inchies and so much more. I started swapping and became addicted very fast. Now that I think back, I never did swap a matchbox.
I've recently started making mini albums from envelopes using a fellow Youtubers Stack the Deck binding method. I love this binding method. It's simple to understand and a secure way to bind your minis. Her name is Laura and her Youtube name is Followthepapertrail.
I have learned so much from watching other crafters videos. Sometimes I have to follow step by step. You know, where you push play, "Grab your choice of colored cardstock." Press stop button and get my cardstock. Press play, "Make sure you measure 2"..." Press stop button. Other times I look at my project long enough to figure things out.
I'm still learning how to create on my own but along the way am having so much fun watching videos and through trial and error.
So that's me in a nutshell. I hope you find your way back to me when I start this blog hop and afterwards. I'm going to try to keep up this blog to let you all know where I am and where I'm going on my crafting journeys.
Thanks for visiting my page and hope to see you all again real soon.
Oh BTW, why not check me out on Youtube. Here's a video of a mini I made for a swap on Myscraproom.ning.com. Love Gina and our group soooo much!
